Nøtterøy, Tjøme and Hvasser all have thriving historical societies that arrange events in high summer. You can naturally also get in touch with them if you have any questions about local history, genealogy and other relevant topics.

Hvasser og Brøtsø historical society holds annual summer exhibitions with different themes each year. This summer, from 25 June to 7 August the museum at Loshuset will open Tuesday-Friday 17:00-20:00 and Sat/Sun 13:00-17:00 (closed Mondays). Free entry.

Tjøme historical society

Tjøme historical society’s museum focuses particularly at maritime history. Open daily 12:00-15:00 (except Mondays) over the period 2-24 July.
