Teaching

Now we will play as we are migratory birds. We are going to play that we are a small bird called red-headed bird (Tringa totanus), (or other selected migratory bird). This bird flies all the way from Norway to Africa. If you are going on holiday and driving an electric car to the South or Africa, what do you have to do then? (Here they often say right away or gradually; sleep, eat, pee and charge the car). You need to rest and eat a little, maybe sleep a little too. Wetland areas such as “Ilene” are almost like McDonalds for the birds. Here is plenty of good food for them and they are safe here, they can rest and relax before flying on. They can recharge for the next flight just as we charge our electric cars for a long drive.

KINDERGARTEN

Visitor Center Færder National Park offers free nature guidance on the sea life for kindergartens (4-6 years). The program covers a variety of goals from the “framework plan”, and focuses on learning through activity, play, wonder and exploration. The arrangements are seasonal and take place indoors in the winter, and outdoors in the summer.

Our goal is to impart knowledge and care for nature through strengthening the understanding of ecological and cultural contexts, and at the same time raising awareness of the role of man in nature. Welcome!
